Side Meeting proposals

Deadline: Friday, January 11

TNC is a popular conference and brings together a large number of representatives from the NREN community.  We understand that this is a natural time to hold side-meetings and appreciate the demand from the community, but unfortunately, due to the limited number of rooms and time slots available, we will not be able to support every request.

GÉANT will prioritise allocation of meetings in the following order:

  • GÉANT community events with limited budget / opportunity to meet elsewhere.
  • GN4-3 meeting requests.
  • Other meeting requests from GÉANT members.
  • All other meeting requests.

Side meetings allocated as part of sponsorship for TNC are managed separately.

The following criteria for evaluation will also be applied:

  • Submission for an interactive meeting and not a presentation for the main programme.
  • Submission with a clearly identified audience that will be attending TNC19.
  • Submission complete and including all the requested information.

Submitters will be notified by the end of January 2019.

Meeting proposals should include:

  • Title
  • Submitter’s name and affiliation
  • Meeting description
  • Intended audience
  • Estimated number of attendees
  • Budget holder
  • Duration
  • Technical requirements
  • Meeting format

Ad-hoc Meeting Space

At TNC19, one room will be made available for ad-hoc meetings. A sign-up system will be on first-come, first-served basis. If this meets your needs, please consider using this system instead of applying for a formal side meeting space.

Arranging your own meeting

If you have available budget and the capacity to plan your own event, please take this into consideration and let us know. We can help you to get in touch with local venues (including hotels) that might be able to provide a room for your side meeting. We kindly ask that all side meetings are arranged outside of the main conference programme.

Demonstration proposals

Deadline: Friday, January 11 2019

The Demonstrations track is an opportunity for researchers, developers and partners to present their services, innovative prototypes, practical developments, on-going projects, lessons learned and recent results  that are relevant to the conference’s topics of interest. All submitters will be notified by the end of January 2019.

Demonstrations will be possible throughout the conference in a dedicated area. Each accepted demonstration will be assigned 2 time slots of 30 minutes each.
